The Town has proactively planned for the future through its Comprehensive Plan: 2035, Design Guidelines and Standards, and in the Town Center area through the Five Corners Master Plan. The Town is staffed to handle all types of planning and development applications. We encourage all applicants to contact Town Hall with questions regarding different development processes including land division, rezoning, conditional uses, planned unit developments etc. early on to avoid delays and help streamline the process. Design Guidelines & Standards
On August 6th, 2014, the Town Board approved binding design guidelines and standards that apply to commercial, multi-family, senior care, institutional and government facilities. They apply to new developments or new structures. Leaders recognized buildings have an immediate and lasting impact on the community. The goal of the guidelines & standards is to construct attractive development realized through a streamlined application process that does not create unnecessary hurdles for developers. Effective January 1, 2014, Paul Mortimer of SafeBuilt will serve as Building Inspector for the Town of Cedarburg, providing residential and commercial permit and inspection services. To better serve you, Paul will be available for face-to-face assistance at the Cedarburg Town Hall on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
